It is difficult to believe that we are at the point in our school year when teachers and students are preparing for midterm exams which will be held next week. It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming back our returning students and introducing our new students and faculty members to our community. I speak for everyone when I say that it has been an outstanding year so far. The students and faculty have been working diligently in a dedicated fashion, and we are fortunate to have had the Class of 2018 leading the way; they have been an absolute joy and very easy to work with and to appreciate!
This senior class and their families, more than most, will understand the passage of time and how it sometimes feels as if it is stuck on fast forward. Whether because of the abbreviated fourth quarter, the number of events calling for their involvement or the fact that this is the final year of their college preparatory education, the senior year always flies. We encourage these students to slow down the passage of time by engaging in thoughtful reflection and prayer. We also encourage them to be certain to thank those who have supported them through the years and to maintain their longstanding friendships until the end of the year and beyond.
Upon completion of midterm exams, we will begin discussing with the Class of 2018 the importance of finishing their time at Holy Name in a way that will bring credit to their family and school, and, most importantly, will reflect our Christian values and ideals. I have no doubt that this outstanding class will respond in a very positive fashion. As always, we thank their families, sponsors and guardians for choosing Holy Name Central Catholic Junior/Senior High School. They are the best!
