Course Selection
Holy Name students begin choosing courses for the next school year with an assembly in March. At this time, the course selection process is explained to them, and course selection sheets are distributed to them. Each student must return these sheets with appropriate signatures, including a signature from a parent or guardian, to their Guidance Counselor by the proscribed deadline.
Students, parents and guardians are responsible for the graduation requirements, the course descriptions, and course pre-requisites as outlined in the course selection book. Oversight of this process is handled by the school principals and the Guidance Department.
The course selection process for new students to Holy Name is directed by the entrance exams and/or entrance interviews. Questions or concerns regarding new students and course selection should be directed to the principals of the school or to the Guidance Department.
