NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
After
second quarter report cards are issued, students in grades 10-12
who have earned an 85% average for the previous school year and
for the first two quarters of the current school year may be eligible
for induction into the Holy Name Chapter of the National Honor
Society. Students should bring copies of these report cards to
school on February 12, 13,or 14th from 2:05-2:45 PM for grade
verifications. After verification of the 85% average by
a faculty member, students are asked to complete a resume.
In addition to academic eligibility, acceptance into NHS requires
evidence of character, leadership, and service.
Academic
eligibility is reviewed for current members after report cards
are issued. Any NHS member whose average falls below 85%
is notified. In addition, students must continue to demonstrate
evidence of leadership and character and fulfill the requirements
of service as indicated in the laws of the Holy Name Chapter.
Any
questions or concerns should be addressed to the National Honor
Society Advisor, Mrs. Janet Howard, through the main office at
508 753-6371.
