Recently at Holy Name, we received wonderful news recognizing our students for extraordinary achievements. We are extremely proud of them, and, as we enter Catholic Schools Week, we would like to salute them. Our Mock Trial team began their season with a decisive victory over the Academy of Math and Science with several students achieving perfect scores. We are optimistic that, with this strong showing, the team is ready to maintain their place as the best in Central Massachusetts, and we salute their coaches, Mr. Meagher and Mrs. Kennedy, as well as their attorney-coach, Mrs. Beth (Wickstrom) Morse.
Also this week, senior Conway Campbell Jr. was named to the All State Music Festival, and, as the only bass player chosen, is considered the best high school bass player in the state. This four day festival will culminate with a performance at Boston’s Symphony Hall on Saturday, March 3rd. We wish Conway all the best as he becomes the first Holy Name bass player to qualify for this prestigious festival.
Finally, we salute all of the members of the Class of 2018 who completed Mr. Haggerty’s SAT Prep Program. This cohort achieved record growth individually and collectively. We are very proud of their hard work and dedication, working through this program during evenings, Saturday mornings and throughout the summer in order to better their scores and to increase their opportunities upon graduation from Holy Name High School. Great work all!
