Parents
Holy Name Central Catholic Junior.Senior High School promotes a partnership between the school and parents to provide an outstanding Catholic, college preparatory education. Holy Name is dedicated to upholding and reinforcing the Christian values and morals that are first taught in the home. We recognize the parent/guardian as the student’s primary educator, and we value opinions and suggestions from the home.
Holy Name parents interact with administrators, faculty, and staff in a respectful manner that furthers this partnership. Holy Name parents have a rational and realistic set of expectations for both the school and their children. They uphold and reinforce the decisions made at the school level especially in terms of discipline.
The key to this interaction is involvement and communication, and there are myriad ways for parents to become active at the school in a positive fashion. All families are issued a Family Pass allowing them free admission to select events. The Parent’s Association meets on the first Wednesday on each month in the Faculty Room. Parents serve on the Advisory Board which meets monthly and offers direction and support to the school administration. There is a Music Parents group and a Touchdown Club designed to assist with extra curricular activities. Parents are involved with accreditation, long term planning, and serve on action committees that explore various aspects of the school. All members of the Holy Name community are available to parents through e-mail accounts. During school hours, every parent’s phone call is answered and addressed by a human being.
