Holy Name and the MIAA strongly supports the commitment to interscholastic athletic programs as an essential educational opportunity for students. Young men and women develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially through voluntary participation in properly conducted athletic programs, including tournaments. The development of self image, character, stamina, physical skills, achievement, self discipline, and the desire to excel are all advantages associated with high school sport participation.

Congratulations Aaron Fossas! Naps’ Fossas to pitch for Wake Forest “Calm and determined — as he usually is on the pitcher’s mound — Holy Name’s ’11 Aaron Fossas gripped the pen and hit his target yesterday morning.” It’s official. Fossas signed his national letter of intent to attend and play baseball for Wake Forest University, the Division 1 school in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Students in the News!
Congratulations to our Varsity Cheerleaders-the Lady Naps! They are now Regional Champs and will be competing Sunday 3.12.2011 (Wachusett HS, 3:30pm) at the State Finals. The Lady Naps also placed 1st at competitions held at David Prouty, Shepherd Hill and Auburn High. In addition they were awarded Grand Champs at David Prouty and Auburn High. Good luck on Sunday! The Lady Naps wish to thank their faithful fans, your support is greatly appreciated!!
